Michael has in excess of 25 years of experience in financial management, analysis and business development across a wide range of sectors. His expertise includes financial advisory, tax structuring, risk management and compliance. Michael has clients Australia wide and is solutions focused.
Michael holds a Bachelor of Business, is an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, having held a certificate of Public Practice since 1991. He currently sits on the Board of Morris Finance Ltd, an unlisted public company, in addition to doing pro bono work for various Victorian based not for profit organisations.
Mick Catanzariti is a CPA qualified Accountant and a founding partner at ASCOT Partners and it’s financial planning business, ASCOT Wealth Management. He has extensive experience in dealing with individual taxation issues right through to complex multi-transactional issues.
Mick specialises in taxation, business consulting, structuring and Self-Managed Superannuation Funds. He has a range of clients in various industries, including Real Estate Agencies, Construction, and Retail & Financial Services. Mick is not an Authorised Representative of GWM Adviser Services Limited and does not engage clients in a financial planning capacity, preferring to specialise in the above-mentioned areas through ASCOT Partners.
Initially studying Accounting at Swinburne University, Nicholas soon found himself graduating as a Financial Adviser. He has been in the financial services industry for over 15 years and has worked with some of the country’s largest financial institutions namely ANZ, CBA & St George, where he gained invaluable experience advising individuals through to large institutional clients. During this period he also advised some of the country’s wealthiest families and in 2000 Nicholas was recognised as one of the country’s top adviser by business and fellow peers, an honour he maintains to this day.
He was instrumental in St George Banks development of a Financial Planning business when the bank decided to enter the Victorian market. He acted as the State Manager Financial Planning (Vic) and was also an active member on the banks Victorian Business Development Board. Equally so, Nicholas was the catalyst in establishing the Corporate Advisory business while at CBA Institutional banking. Together with the then General Manager, Tom Render, he successfully introduced bankers and clients alike to a full service financial planning offering.
After a successful corporate career holding numerous senior positions, in 2005 Nicholas became a founding partner of ASCOT Partners and its financial planning business – ASCOT Wealth Management. Financial planning has always been his passion and he enjoys using his skills and experience to help clients achieve their financial goals at all stages of their life cycle. He strongly believes that great value can be gained for clients by using a structured planning process with regular and ongoing reviews.
